Additional Cool Stuff from 2011:
This year Laurie Friedman, the author of the book that inspired my project (Love, Ruby Valentine), was inspired by me and she posted a Valentine contest on her website: Click here for a link to it.
This was the year that I started Kindergarten and all the kindergartners at my school helped stuff some goody bags -- se fun!
The youth group at Our Father's Lutheran church in Rockford was also a really big help with the goody bags. I read the story to them and told them about my project. They decided that they wanted to also help raise money, and helped with the donations to Hope Lodge.
Brookdale Assisted Living of Minnetonka (formerly Freedom Point) - Assisted Living Residence for the Elderly (new location for my project in 2011)
Hope Lodge - Non-profit, Temporary residence for cancer patients that normally live outside the Twin Cities, but are receiving treatment at a Twin Cities hospital. (new location for my project in 2011)
